BRYON
SOMMERS (Composer) As a pianist, composer, singer, musical
director he has entertained audiences in Europe, North America
and the Caribbean. He has worked with Burt Bacharach, legendary
Eartha Kitt, Julie Wilson, Tony Award winners Lillian Montevecchi,
Andrea McCardle (the original ANNIE), Broadway star Sean McDermott
from MISS SAIGON, British music hall Tony Award winner Tessie
O’Shea & TV’s Golden Girl Betty White and many
others. In addition to TUSK, he also collaborated with Norman
Rea on the revue BRING BACK THE SPIRIT and numerous other songs,
Bryon has also written many songs with Tony Award winning lyricist
David Zippel. Their song, “Why Don’t We Run Away,”
from the review BETTER WITH A BAND is on Nancy LaMott’s
first CD, BEAUTIFUL BABY and most recently recorded by Cybil Shepherd.
They also wrote the opening song for ZEIGFELD, A NIGHT AT THE
FOLLIES, “DESTINATION BROADWAY” and for Disney wrote
the opening song, “Falling In Love With You” sung
by Andrea McCardle, for the Hall of Fame Awards, by the Academy
