Character Descriptions:
Each of the elephant characters have two names, their birth name, the names given to them by their families and their captive names, the names given to the elephants by their human captors. The given names, the ones given to the elephants by their families are derived from mythology.

ADAH/HUGO ( 30’s – 40’s) Passer of the ways of the herd, wise, compassionate, loving father of Mitra and Hatha and husband of Aditi. Pulls from great strength within, retrains his anger and frustration with not having control of his families destiny. (ADAD is from the Babylonian mythological god of wind, rain and thunder. He was often referred to as “The Lord Of Abundance”, he could see into the future.)

ADITI/MARY(30’s – 40’s) Wife of Adah, proud mother of Hatha and Mitra, sister of Neith. Sensitive and caring, matriarchal leader of the herd.
(ADITI, a Hindu mother goddess, is regarded as the personification of the earth, and her bosom as its navel. Her name means “Infinity” or “Free from Bounds”. She is said to embody unlimited light consciousness and unity.)
